Rohit Patel, lovingly known as Rockstar Rohit among his darling fans, is one of the contenders for Bigg Boss Kannada trophy. Anyone who has tuned into 92.7 Big FM from 5 to 9 called 'No Tension' would know who Rohit is and how popular he is. From playing pranks on common people to getting out the deepest funny secrets from dignitaries, he has done it all. What we didn't know about him before Bigg Boss, was the face behind his name.

The very first day, Rohit realized he was the only one from a different industry. Rest of them are either from TV or Film industry. Since Kannada Industry is small and close knit family, everyone have crossed paths at one point of time and know each other at a personal level. When Rohit grasped it on the first day, he mentioned that he might be overshadowed and alienated, to Shakeela. It didn't take long for his worst fear to come true.

House guests have been treating him like he is expendable. We have seen instances of other contestants mocking him about how he is inefficient to be a radio jockey. What they don't realize, or care about, is that Rohit's 'No Tension' program is one of the most popular programs in Bangalore, and has won awards and recognition on an international level. He is just like the others who have made their own mark in their respective industry, a celebrity!

So far, we have seen Rohit not getting into unnecessary arguments, or participate in any gossip session. In fact, he doesn't even belong to a single group. Probably this is one of the reason he is being alienated. Also, he is clear about his intentions and vocal about it. He didn't want to build a false relationship with others by making them his brothers and sisters. When Shakeela asked him not to call her by her name, he took it in jest and asked her if he can call her 'Darlings'. The problem was solved in under a minute. He also seems to be smarter than the so called 'smart ones', by analyzing the situation and respond accordingly. Rohit confronted Aadhi when he made loose statements, and pointed out how brashly he behaved. Aadhi was speechless for a minute before brushing it off with an unconvincing apology.

Being alienated has been a blessing in disguise for Rohit. Audience is taking Rohit's side every time he is bullied, and he is garnering more fans who support him. As absurd as it sounds, it's a sweet revenge from the Bigg Boss viewers who are sympathizing with him.

It is better for the other house guests to realize that they are only losing their fans through their actions. People outside Bangalore might not have known Rohit and his talk show, but he is in Bigg Boss house now. Everyone is getting to know him. He wouldn't have been in the Bigg Boss house if he wasn't a celebrity. So better beware of this 'lonely dark horse' who is slowly and steadily progressing in Bigg Boss house for a big win!

    to be honest neethu is the most transparent one there. her entire gamut of expressions have been showcased. she has not indulged in any backbiting till now. rohit is a good chap too but somewhere he does have a sense of false air. srujan and laya are good contestants again. one thing noteworthy is that the both the ousted contestants anitha bhat and harshika vouched for neethu saying she is a sweetheart. so moral of the story is don't judge a book by it's cover.

      Oh yes, Rohit does have a sense of false air. But I am guessing that it is because he is aware that people are making fun of him behind his back. I might change my opinion after watching him for a few more weeks.

Bigg Boss Caller of the Week

Last two Saturday episodes Bigg Boss has introduced Bigg Boss caller of the week, wherein a common man/woman is given an opportunity to ask a question to the contestant. I personally think they shouldn't. I don't see any advantage behind this inclusion, because it is not adding anything to the entertainment value. The question that has been qualified to ask the house guests is a big joke.      -Asking a question about how not to get nominated to Rohit even after he has mentioned multiple times that he didn't read any book, but just a small article in internet?      -Asking a question to Adi whether he wanted to beat up Rohit or someone else like he mentioned in friday's episode?   Last year, when superstar legendary NTR hosted Big Boss Telugu season 1, it felt more like everybody was participating in Seethamma Vaakitlo, not Bigg Boss at any stretch....
